Ive had a lovely birthday...

3 July 2006

I just had to share this photo of me with my beautiful Birthday cake...proudly made and iced by Briony and the candles re-manufactured by Ian. I love the nice blue /green cream with the candles proudly stating my age. These candles were on my 40th cake...so Ian very cleverly trimmed the 0 into a 1....I think he will battling to produce a 2..next year....LOL (and Im so grateful I have a haircut appointment booked for today...one look at this photo..OMG) Well my birthday has come and gone...and it was a lovely. I dont exactly look forward to them these days but apart from turning a year older it was a great day. I arrived home from work to a lovely card from Ian and the kids, of course I had already been spoilt rotten with my new camera.
I then spent most of the day at my LSS......Riverland Scrapbooking which was having its birthday celebration. I even instructed my first 'Make and Take' class......which was heaps of fun. I got to meet and chat with some of the girls who frequent the RSS forum and Cheryl and Kim (RSS) even surprised me with a lovely card and a cake.....totally unexpected, but such a nice thought.
I spent the remainder of the day at home with Ian and the kids (including Alex)..we went out for tea, then came home for the birthday cake and snuggled up on the couch and watched BB eviction. I honestly dont think Birthdays get much better.

I finally have some layouts to share.....which feels great..these pages were for my first month on the RSS Design Team. It was so nice yesterday to see all Belinda's and my layouts on display and they looked fantastic all together.....even if I do say so myself. The Black and White range by Scrapbooking Australia looks spectacular and was heaps of fun to work with. I will upload some more tomorrow....so watch this space.
I am now officially on holidays for a couple of weeks..so Im really excited about getting the house organised and a heap of scrapping done. I have so much on my to do list. I would love to really clean out each room...cupboards and all...like a huge spring clean...I just hope the motivation stays.

Ill just finish with an observation I have made of myself......I actually hate going to markets and stalls......if I walk past a stall holder and they dont appear to have sold much...I cant resist buying something ...just to make them feel a little better....and because of this..I have an enourmous bunch of hydroponic curly leaf lettuce in my fridge that even the rabbits will struggle to eat. Ian took one look...and shook his head...Im hoping the temperature will get over 15deg this week and we will feel like a huge tossed salad for tea....LOL
Thats all folks
