My mini travel album complete.

5 August 2010

Well here it is complete....after its humble beginnings 'here'

I'm thrilled with it actually..... it worked as I planned.....and I scrapped in it daily.... on my lap in the car quite often.

Its not a work of art..... its not fancy..... but its well travelled.....and jammed with photos....and memories.

It holds 57 pages
43 photos - many of them collages
24 pages of journaling
plus tickets, brochures, post cards and attraction information.

Side view....

Inside the front cover.....

Then just as an example of what it holds.... here is a typical days worth....

First a day divider page - This one is "Day four.... 13.07.2010"

Photo on the reverse of the day divider and a post card

Cave entry ticket on the reverse of the postcard and a photo collage from our cave visit.

Photo collage from Edith falls and journaling of out day

Journaling continued and a small page with a photo of the gorgeous sunset on our way into Darwin.

Our campsite in Darwin and some Katherine tourist information that was relevant to our day.

Then my day divider ....all ready for 'Day five'

I kept it very simple..... mainly photos and journaling.....with some strips of pattern paper to fill the gaps. I did initially intend on embellishing it more..... but Ive decided to leave it as is....

Its already been given lots of loving as the kids read it...and Bella searches through for photos of Pop-peee....Nan-neee and Bri-neee..

  1. Mardi, I think it is just perfect! It must be a great feeling to have it all finished and being used already...photos and journaling is why we scrapbook in the first place, isn't it? ;)
    Great job...love it!

  3. Wow Mardi this is absolutely fantabulous. I may just have to borrow your idea to do our overseas album from a year ago.
Emma also wants me to do her an album called the "terrible tumour" don't know if I am emotionally strong enough to do it but she wants to record what she is feeling and going through ugh.

Love seeing all your holiday photos, Northern Territory is such a beautiful place.

Glad to have you back in the land of blogging too
