Thank you my dear friends..

29 May 2011

I was wondering after my last post if perhaps I shouldn't have shared my thoughts.
I'm well aware that we all get days where things just don't seem right...
and I was concerned Id regret putting my feelings out there.
But.....you know what...
I'm glad now that I did....
I feel  renewed...and reminded
... of what the REAL reason I blog for is.

I am so very grateful for all the lovely comments....
to know I'm not the only one who struggles to make the shift to FB...
to know we all go through highs and lows with blogging...
to know we all have feelings of doubt from time to time...
all just reassures me I'm normal.

Thank you so much for popping in to let me know that you enjoy reading my blog...
its just everyday stuff.....and there are no frills attached here....so its lovely to think that so many of you regularly choose to visit.
Thanks to the lovely girls who popped out of hiding to comment....those comments were so lovely.
Thanks to the girls who emailed privately...
Thanks to my dear friends who I can always trust to kick the Flat Stanley mood out of the ball park.
Thanks to Lea who posted a comment longer than my blog post.....bless you Lea....you're such a sweetie.
and thanks to my darling boy Brent....
who messaged to tell me
 "Don't worry Mum.....Facebook sucks....that's why I'm never on there"
...and then sent the message via Facebook.

So from now on....
I'm not going to stress about trying to like Facebook...
Ill do as I do now....pop in and out...no strings attached.

...and my dear old Blog....I will leave as is....
Like Pip mentioned in her comment....its not a contest ...and that's so damn right.
(Thanks for the bit of reality check there Pip)
When I really stopped to think about it....
I'm not out to impress anyone....
I don't even care really how many readers I have...and so what if my photos aren't as special...
what its about is..
connecting with family and friends...
sharing my crafty adventures...
and
sharing a little piece of me for anyone who is interested....
and even more importantly...its a record...a snapshot of our life....
our crazy...extremely normal and boring life.

  2. Bahahaha to Brent and his comment/ way of telling you! That made me giggle!

I, unfortunately, am slightly addicted to FB and as a new full-time student with a young family...well, I should really delete it. One day.

I am one of your quiet readers. I love your honesty, your humour, your finds and your style. Please keep blogging...you are someone to admire, aspire to and respect. Without meeting you, or you knowing who I am, I do know this.

Good on you Mardi, dont change a good thing,
God knows there are too many out there trying to do just that.

Your blog is one of my favourites and I would have serious life issues if I couldn't get my fix of checking out your blog. It is raw, honest, funny and you have an amazing connection with your Family and always creatively inspiring. Take care and keep humour in your top pocket.
