JOT MAGAZINE - MAY MOOD BOARD....MARDI'S MOOD BOARD....YAY!!

2 May 2014

Yep... I choose the mood board this month...
so if its not to your liking...blame me..or...just give it a go anyway...haha
All the details...inspiration....and entries can be found at Jot Magazine.(.HERE )
I thought everyone would find these colours a breeze... just like I did....but apparently they haven't been so easy for all.... we really do all have our colour comfort zones it seems.
However....
omgosh...the Jot team have totally blown me away with what they created with this pallette!!

I am now so excited to see some entries roll in ..
(please please give it a go....wouldn't it be shocking if no-one entered...haha)

So here is what I created...

Inspiration - I loved the My minds eye paper to replicate the chalkboard labels on the bottles.
The October Afternoon retro look paper reminded me of the cushion fabric.
I handmade the felt flowers using the brooch as inspiration.
Added in a paper flower similar to the flowers in the bottles and used the overall colour pallete as a guide to bring my layout together.

Supplies - Papers - Prima, My minds eye, October Afternoon, Crate Paper
Embellishments - Sassafras diecut, American crafts leaf, paper flower, handmade felt flowers, American crafts stamp and machine stitching.

Here are some close up details...

Make sure you pop over to Jot Magazine to see all the amazing Jot Team layouts... they are each so varied...and yet they all use the mood board brilliantly.
