70 WAYS TO USE the doTERRA INTRODUCTORY KIT

The doTERRA Introductory kit... is a great way to dip your toes into the world of Essential Oils!

Are you thinking.... What would I do with just three oils??

Well here are 70 ways these three essential oils can make a difference in your life.


Lets begin with LAVENDER - 

  1. Make a 'sleepy potion' (this works a treat in our home) Mix 10 drops of Lavender to a 30 ml spray bottle and top with fractionated coconut oil. Massage in at bedtime.
  2. Create a Bed Linen Spray and give your sheets a lovely mist at night.... just mix some drops of Lavender with distilled water in a spray bottle and keep it alongside the bed.
  3. Massage a couple of drops to the soles of your feet and chest at night for a restful sleep. 
  4. Diffuse 2-3 drops at night for a calm and restful sleep.
  5. Lavender is supportive for the skin.... apply to any little scrapes...abrasions ..cuts...bites or minor burns to assist with the pain and healing.
  6. Use for its calming and soothing emotional benefit...a drop to the temples..and back to the neck in times of stress to calm an anxious mind.
  7. Great for soothing a babies bum.... you can make your own nappy wipes... or add a drop to some fractionated coconut and use it at change time.
  8. Massage your kids feet at bedtime as a calming nighttime routine.
  9. Use a dab on those hormonal spots to assist with healing.
  10. Add a drop to some Epsom Salts and make a relaxing foot bath at the end of a long day.
  11. Make some playdough and add a drop for a beautiful calming affect while they play.

  13. DIY your own hairspray - add Lavender or Peppermint or another choice of oil.
  14. Add 2-3 drops to the fabric softener compartment of your washing machine for beautiful Lavender scented washing. Beautiful for bed linen and towels.
  15. Make an ironing spray - In a 500ml spray - Add 20 drops of  Lavender .. 30mls of WitchHazel and fill with distilled water. Lavender is a natural fabric relaxant.
  16. Create a car freshener - Add a few drops to a tissue and place in your air vent... or add drops to a diffuser bead or clip.
  17. Make an Air Freshener for your wardrobe or linen cupboard - Choose a small jar - Add ¼ cup baking soda and 5-6 drops of Lavender- cover the jar with a piece of fabric tied in place.
  18. Throw away your stinky aerosol air fresheners... just add Lavender to Water in a spray bottle.
  19. Add a drop to the filter of your vacuum cleaner and fill the air with a lovely Lavender aroma.
  20. Use for food flavouring...think Lavender cakes or muffins.
  21. Add a couple of drops to the bath and soak away the stress of the day or to relax sore muscles.
  22. Add a couple of drops to your conditioner when washing your hair... enjoy the aroma as the hot water washes it down over your body and leaves your hair feeling soft and smelling amazing.

Moving on to LEMON .. 

  1. Diffuse lemon to neutralise odours... great for freshening...think teen bedrooms.
  2. Use a few drops on a cotton ball in your shoes, or wherever you want to get rid of nasty smells.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of Baking Soda + 5-6 drops of Lemon to a jar and push to the back of the fridge to clear any odours.
  4. Put 1 drop of lemon oil in your water daily to support metabolism,naturally cleanse the body and aid digestion. (doTERRA only)
  5. Diffusing lemon essential oil in the air can lift mood and fight depression.
  6. Add to cooking for flavouring - like salmon on the BBQ, Hummus, Smoothies, Bliss balls etc. 
  7. Soothe an irritated throat, apply Lemon over the throat area or take a drop of Lemon in a small amount of raw honey (not suitable for children under 1).
  8. Add a couple drops of Lemon essential oil to your dishwater or to the rinse section of your dishwasher. Lemon is a great grease cutter and will leave your glassware sparkling.
  9. Make an All Purpose Cleaning Spray. In a glass bottle with a spray trigger (optional - add a quarter cup of Vinegar) plus 20 -30 drops of your choice of essential oils. (I love Lemon and On Guard.)
  10. Pick Me Up. When you lack motivation or energy, try rubbing a drop of Lemon on your hands, the back of your neck or even through your hair.
  11. Use lemon essential oil in a spray bottle with water to keep fruit fresh until serving. It will also add a nice zesty flavour.
  12. Remove sticky residue - use a drop or two neat... or try the recipe HERE

  14. Leave your washing in the machine too long? Add a couple of drops of Lemon and re-rinse to neutralise the odour.
  15. Kids get gum or sticky stuff in their hair? Use lemon to remove it easily.
  16. Lemon oil cleans and shines stainless steel appliances and leaves a lovely smell. Use wih a soft cloth.
  17. Try moving scuff marks with Lemon Oil.
  18. Got aphids or garden pests? Add a couple of drops to a spray bottle of water and spray the affected areas.
  19. Add a drop and rub into your hands for a natural hand sanitiser.
  20. Diffuse for an uplifting aroma... great for promoting focus and clarity.
  21. Flavour bliss balls and smoothies... or add to natural yogurt for a delicious zing!
  22. Use in a loo spray for freshening the air and also giving it a sanitising clean...one spray - two jobs.
  23. Fill the sink with water and a couple of drops of Lemon to wash your fruit and vegetables. It removes residues and they keep longer.

Finally lets chat Peppermint..

  1. Make a breath spray – a small 30ml spray bottle... add distilled water and a few drops of Peppermint ( more of less to taste) shake as used… ta da…fresh minty breath.
  2. Make your own mouthwash - for a minty swish after brushing your teeth.
  3. Bliss balls baby ! - Peppermint chocolate bliss balls are delicious.
  4. Diffuse for respiratory and sinus support. Or simply inhale deeply from the bottle.
  5. Make a cooling spray in Summer – add 10-15 drops to a 30 ml spray bottle .. add distilled water and spray face (with eyes closed).. arms…back of neck…anywhere on bare skin and enjoy the cooling affect.
  6. Make a foot bath – a few drops of peppermint oil and some Epsom salts.
  7. Deter ANTS and bugs…. Add 15 drops to a 250 ml spray bottle … top with water and spray to stop them in their tracks.
  8. Diffuse for its minty and uplifting aroma .. to keep you alert and focused on the task at hand. Great for kids at homework time. (Blends well with a citrus oil)
  9. For head tension – apply diluted peppermint and lavender to temples…neck and forehead.
  10. To assist in stopping cold sores at the first tingle – apply neat. If a blister is present – use Tea Tree as the Peppermint will sting. 
  11. Stop motion sickness…inhale from the bottle.
  12. Can help with digestive issues like bloating... dilute a drop with carrier oil and massage into stomach.
  13. Add a drop to the corner of the shower...once the hot water hits you will get a lovely minty aroma...the perfect morning wakeup!
  14. Use a drop of Peppermint as a boost for exercise...it helps with motivation and on a respiratory level.
  15. Use for a car freshener...and also for those long trips to stay alert. Add a drop to a tissue in the Air vents. Create a peppermint spray and keep in the car for those occasions.
  16. Use Peppermint as a natural Air Freshener... Add to a spray bottle with water - this can also be used as a surface cleaner.
  17. Add a drop to your body wash for a zingy cooling wash...your skin will tingle afterwards. (Be careful with sensitive areas and eyes)
  18. Use as a massage oil with some carrier oil to soothe overworked muscles and joints.
  19. Use for relief of muscles and pain - create a muscle rub
  20. Great for night shift workers - add a drop under the tongue for increased focus and 'stay awake power' or a drop on a tissue tucked in your shirt gives you the peppermint benefits.
  21. Ease nausea.... rub a drop into your abdomen....inhale from the bottle.... or take a drop in water.
  22. Make a cooling 'after sun spray' ... spritz for cooling relief on the skin.
  23. Peppermint can act as a natural mosquito repellent when applied topically.
  24. Massage a couple of drops of Peppermint with coconut oil.... and massage in for a hair treatment. Peppermint rejuvenates the scalp and encourages hair growth.

  • Diffuse - Lemon Lavender and Peppermint together to clear the air
  • Take 1 drop of each in a slither of water and swallow.... this works incredibly well for me.
  • Put 1 drop of each on a tissue and inhale.
