Happy New Year....

2 January 2011

We had a wonderful end to 2010...

We traveled home to Bordertown...
to celebrate Kelly's (My gorgeous SIL)
40th birthday.

Initially when the invitation arrived....I was SO excited......
that soon turned to devastation when I realised I was working that night.

Normally I wouldn't have minded working New Years eve......but I really didn't want to miss this birthday....and the rare chance to catch up with all of our family especially when we had spent Christmas apart from them all.

So when a dear friend / colleague offered to work for me...I was over the moon.

It was a perfect night....
James and Kelly are the most wonderful and generous hosts....
and there beautiful home was just perfect.

Everyone gathered under the wide veranda's...

There was a steady flow of pizzas...all baked fresh from this pizza oven....yummo.

Darling little Evie worked so hard....for hours she offered plates of pizza around.....and looked ever so cute in her chef hat and apron.

Here is Jo and Alex...getting into the swing...

Bella found a new friend....she loved darling little Lachie....and so badly wanted to pick him up and carry him around.... he wasn't quite so sure though....

As usual at a Ferguson do.....there are enough boys for a cricket team.....

...and then at 2am.....someone thought it might be a good idea to take photos....and even though I hate my photo taken.... I'm thrilled to have this one of me with my brothers...who I love so very much.
Its very rare these days to have us all in one spot.

The one thing I'm very disappointed about is that I didn't get a photo of the birthday girl....
Somehow she slipped the net.... I know others took photos on the night though... thankfully.

So that was our New Year....
We partied until 6am....
Then we were up at 8am and doing the rounds....saying our goodbyes before heading home so I could work.
