I had a lump in my throat tonight as I caught a little of the footy show...and watched as they tallied the donations and corporate sponsors ...all made possible by one amazing and humble man...
Shane Crawford.... and his Tour de Crawf.
Shane cycled 3600kms in 22 days..averaging 170kms a day.
and raised around $1.5 million dollars for the breast cancer network australia
I just wanted to acknowledge what an amazing selfless feat this was...
I cant really find the words to describe how much this means to me...so Ill leave it at this...
I admire you Shane.... enduring so much....
not for any personal gain....
but just simply to help ease the suffering... and save the lives of others.
From to bottom of my heart...
Thank you.
(Of course the corporate sponsors and individuals who dug so deep....and put forward such large donations need a huge round of applause as well.... as was said tonight....raising funds is not easy....so this is an incredible result )
was pretty amazing .....and incredible person and meant so much the towns he passed thru...including ours :)cant believe the miles he clocked up too...

So good to see high profile ppl doing something so important. Sometime our sportsmen get a ad wrap too so nice to crawf getting the attention he deserves. Amazing guy what a massive effort. I love Samuel Johnson he is on a mammoth fundraising expedition atm...I'm gonna send you the fb link. Both he and his sister are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLea... thank you so much....I had forgotten (which I feel awful about) about Samuel and his Sister...I read about....and donated to his amazing ride even before he left..(and have done so again this morning.) I am so thankful that you have jolted my memory. I will be watching his journey from here on..
DeleteThis is another AMAZING selfless act..and the story attached is heartbreaking.
