D.I.Y Unicorn Bath Bombs

5 December 2018

Have you ever tried to make a traditional bath bomb?

Lets just say they are tricky little suckers... they crumble easily...and to make a healthy version adds an additional complexity.

BUT..... making them smaller and using a mould is very simple!!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • A nice wide mouth jar for storage - make sure it has a air tight lid.
  • 300g of Bicarb Soda
  • 130g of citric acid
  • 30g of Fractionated coconut oil
  • 30 drops of Essential Oil - I used Lavender and Cedarwood
  • Silicone moulds - mine were a flower shape.
  • Label - I used a glossy white Avery oval label

HOW TO:

Mix the dry ingredients until well combined. Add the Essential oil and carrier oil and combine until the mixture holds together when squeezed together. (If it isn't holding together...add further carrier oil until it does)

Press into the silicone moulds firmly.

Leave to set for 24 hours in a cool dry spot. Turn the mould over and allow the bath bombs to drop from the mould.

Store in the jar - have some fun with the label.
