I think Step one should be....
find some small but interesting tins... I've seen lip balm made in lovely little store bought ...and upcycled mint tins.... however I went for something I had on hand... some old Maya Road embellishment tins... it pays to be a hoarder sometimes!
I'm not sure why I didn't make these sooner...they were incredibly easy... and make a lovely little gift.
Once the lip balm tins were finished.... I created a very simple stitched calico bag and a gift tag....and they were done.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1 Tablespoon of Beeswax
- 3 Tablespoons of Carrier oil
- 21/2 Teaspoons of Shea Butter
- 4 - 5 drops of Essential Oil (I used Wild Orange - Peppermint would also be lovely)
- Suitable tins or jars
HOW TO:
- Melt the wax...coconut oil and Shea butter in a bowl over heat ( I used a small ceramic bowl sitting in a saucepan of water)
- Remove from the heat and quickly add in the Essential Oils
- Carefully pour into your tins or jars and allow to set.
- Create a simple calico bag to fit the tin.
- Make a little gift tag
