As usual...it is packed with gorgeous layouts.... mainly everyones elses...lol..( there is some seriously amazing layouts this month!!)......and a couple of mine... well actually one of mine.... based on a sketch by Janelle....
...and the Fathers Day OTP kit...an altered clock.... version one....and version two... and some cards as well.....
.... Im looking forward to sharing the next batch of projects...
Ok...what else has been happening....
*I have decided to not continue with my study.... I couldnt keep up... I was stressed.... and my heart wasnt in it.... I was struggling with the decision last week when I came across this quote on Kathie's blog..... (I hope you dont mind me borrowing it Kathie)
"Ask yourself, and yourself alone, one question: Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn’t, it is of no use.” Carlos Castaneda...this summed it up perfectly for me.... my heart wasnt there....so in the end the decision was easy...and a weight lifted.
*I am fed up with a certain 18year old .... I cant believe the total disregard.... laziness...and stupidity that has led to a rather large falling out....Im not discussing it ...but just mentioning that although I love him to bits... Im going to take awhile to get over this particular argument.
I do on the other hand adore having Alex around....especially now that she has officially moved in....stuffed animals and all...lol
* I have been suffering scrap block.... I know we all get it from time to time.... but its frustrating!! (...and probably due to feeling pressured by study and arguments!!)
...I was also desperate for cardstock...alphas and some new papers...which Im sure has been compounding the situation....so Ive ordered cardstock..alphas and Im on the search for some new funky papers...any suggestions?
* My computer is fixed....I have had some major issues with HD space....I now have a new bigger HD... my USB ports are fixed..... my Word program is fixed...and I have finally been able to install Photoshop 7...woohoo!!
* I have been very good at meal planning still....every Sunday we sit down and plan the weeks menu....then shop for everythig we will need...I love it!...I love that we know what we are having in advance....and it has reduced our takeaway and junk food to almost zero..... I cant remember the last time we ordered takeaway.
...so the week before last...Briony planned the meals.
.... and this week Mitch wanted in on the action...so we placed the 'meal book' in his hands.
.... in a very short time he declared he was finished.... and Briony and I eagerly waited to see what was instore for us this week.
.... we had..... Mince and Spaghetti......Homemade Rissoles ..... Lasagna ...Tacos and Meat Pie...... every single night...MINCE!!
... no way!
....We always knew he was a fan of mince...but this was ridiculous....lol ...so after some minor adjustment we compromised and added some other meals as well.
* no more news on the house.... plans are still at council.... I mean how long can it take....Grrrrr.
Ok..Im off to bed..... more layout shares tomorrow.....its time for another Craftymatters update..

Hi Mardi,
ReplyDeleteSeems you have lots going on and yes I believe life is about balancing what makes your heart sing not what makes it constantly cry so it is always good to go back to the grindstone and eliminate what is not working for you. The people we love the most are our greatest teachers in life so it seems your D.S. is giving you some great life lessons to deal with ATM, I hope you can work through it all soon and remember you are never alone with Family issues we all ride through them the best we can. Chin up and hope your mojo returns soon.
Take care Tracey.
Mardi your Boxx creations are wonderful! And how did you do TWO posts without me noticing (or is it just that I am slooooooww)?
ReplyDeleteAnd I just can't imagine why you wouldn't want mince each night lol...
