This morning I had a lovely email from Lea who runs the
'Little bits of pretty' blog.
If you haven't visited 'Little bits of pretty' before.... or its been awhile since you popped in...
please pop back for a look.
Lea has just loaded some vintage fabric packs...you will get 5 FQ's ....for $10.00
they would be a perfect way to source some fabrics for our quilt square swap....
and every cent of your purchase goes to the Westmead hospital.
(The amazing efforts of Lea always bring a lump to my throat......this is one Mum....who goes above and beyond....and who I have the utmost respect for.....
Lea has shared a little of her story and motivation on her blog.)
So......I noticed when I visited "Little bits of pretty" today that Lea had a set an initial goal to raise $1000.
and she is so close.....lets see if we can help her reach and exceed it.
...............................................................................................................................................................
I've had a few more emails of girls wishing to join....which is lovely...
................................................................................................................................................................
Angie asked the size of my quilt so that she could estimate how many squares she will be needing.
So.... I'm sharing that here for anyone who is interested...
My quilt is huge...
it measures 18 squares x 17 squares....which in 306 squares I believe.
Personally I'm aiming to make one quite a bit smaller than this...gosh...306 is a lot!
306 is a lot! I have cut 100 squares for the swap, but could do more.....what do you think?
ReplyDeleteWill pop over to Lea's blog for a look, thanks for the link.
I have been over to Lea's blog and ordered more fabric.........not that I need it, but she is doing a wonderful thing, raising dollars for the children's hospital. I hope she can reach her goal of $1000.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Angie....and seriously....there is no such thing as too much fabric hey!
ReplyDeleteAlthough looking at my growing pile...that is debatable.
