...another little Nanna project...

15 September 2012

I have no idea why I do this....
but the busier I get.....the more I feel the need to attempt trivial tasks....
like these coat hanger covers...haha

Did I REALLY need them?
Nope....
but hey.... they are a cute little project to use up some of those vintage sheets I've been collecting.

Super simple to make too....
I just traced the outline of my coathanger then used it as a template.....
making sure I added a seam allowance.
leave a hole at the top for the hanger to poke through.... stitch up the curve....and add a trim to the bottom....and tada.... totally Nanna coathangers!!

They do look sort of sweet hanging together....

Plus ...they are actually very useful!
I hate my wider tops sliding off the hangers in the wardrobe..... this stops that!
Now I have the perfect hanger for every task.....Id say it is a job well done!

Phew ....SO glad I put everything else on hold.....and got these little beauties made.... I don know how I lived so long without them ; )

  7. Very pretty fabric. If you use brushed cotton (flannel) fabric even the silky fine straps stay put. I also pad a few well for jumpers. :-)
