Handmade Wardrobe - Lane pants

I am still working on getting a great fit for a pair of wide leg pants,... and I think these just might be it.

Pattern: Lane Pants by Syd Graham  + (Tote Bag - Core Fabrics Free Pattern)

Fabric: These Lane Pants are a toile... made from the side panels of an old linen fitted sheet and as you can imagine they are soft with lots of drape. So this was a zero cost project (other than the pattern).

The Tote bag was from a $2.00 scrap I found in the Op Shop..its Buzoku Duck... 100% cotton and lovely and weighty for a tote bag but not difficult to sew. The pattern is a freebie on the Core Fabrics site.. so this was a $2.00 project.

Notes: The Lane pants were a great fit staright off the pattern. I loved the little details with topstitched seams and the pockets sit beautifully and flat. I loved the construction method and these are possibly the best of the wide leg patterns Ive tried. I will most definitely be making these again in a more forever fabric.

Style Note: I'm still struggling to feel great in wide leg pants... but Im determined to try and make them work for me.
