...Arghhhhh!.....this child is driving me nuts!!!
..and no!...he doesnt wear glasses (these are mine...that I wear ever so occassionally) ... and this is another 'special' self portrait he has left on my camera ...I never know what will appear when I download a batch of photos......Ahhhh.
Now...I have no idea whats gotten into him...but dang! ..he's annoying.
Briony is trying to clean her room...and he is just repeatedly hanging out in there...she screams "Get out of my room" repeatedly..... I get frustrated to the point Im sure Ill blow a vessel somewhere..... I yell "Mitchell!! ...Get out of her room" ....and with that he appears in the kitchen with " she's just trying to get me in trouble...I am out"..... finally I decided it would be far easier to just distract him.....so weve been down and got some DVDs to occupy him.
But...it isnt just this morning..... it is a culmination of the last 24 hours.... the constant stare offs ...do you know how annoying it is to have someone just stare at you constantly...with the sole purpose.... of seeing it annoy you..... until you crack?
...not to mention the hugs...which are lovely until...... he then turns into some kind of furry animal and pretends he is eating you.....Grrr
...not to mention..when I was all cleaned up yesterday...sitting thoroughly engrossed in a little project (Blahh..thats another story) ..... when he announced "Im going to have some rockmelon" ....Mmmmm sounds tame doesnt it ...well then he juggles it.... pretends he is throwing it.... makes me nervous .... finally I cant take it a minute longer...I announce " thats fine...If you are going to have rockmelon...make sure you cut it on a board and clean up afterwards"..... so then he proceeds to bang and crash and get prepared to dissect the rockmelon..... he plunges the knife through it...and yells at the top of his lungs " OMG....ITS INFESTED...with maggots" ...... Yes...he gets the perfect response from me "ITS WHAT???" .... "nah...just kidding" he replies..... and it takes another 10 minutes to reign in my blood pressure. Not to mention the 30 minutes it takes me to clean up the rockmelon innards that are running down the side of the bin, the microwave (which was an innocent bystander), the sink and the floor..... moral of the story being..... do not let 15 year old cut up rockmelon inside.....its a job for the back lawn.
...oh...and how could I forget his running commentary on everything..... reversing the car out of a park in the street and Ive got "back 'er up...back 'er up" coming from the back seat.
.... him standing at the air conditioner control.... "lets crank 'er up!! ...if I were an ice cube..Id be a puddle of water by now"
...oh and theres been a million more.... my brains just run out of space to record them...lol
Well ...we had our family christmas dinner with Alex last night..... I decided it would be lovely for us all to be together for a proper christmas meal...and seeing as Brent and Alex have pretty much lived in Waikerie the last few weeks..... I officially invited them. So yesterday we prepared the full baked dinner with christmas pufdding and custard .... lollies and bon bon's.... the full deal. Dinner was for 6.30pm .... and we were prepared.....well at 7pm we got a phone call from Alex to say Brent was still not home from Adelaide (What?? ...apparently he had been helping her Dad by driving a used car home from Adelaide...so no problems..) ...then at 7.30pm Brent phones to say he is at Blanchetown.... Yay...hes only an hour away..... but all turned out well.....they arrived around 8.30pm and we had a lovely dinner. I did even take some photos of us all at the table...I used the self timer and was really pleased with myself..... until today ...when I downloaded them and had a proper look... Brent is either purposely cross eyed .... or he has his 'rude' finger up.... Im thinking of selling him too!!..lol
Well .... Im off to work on my little project again ..... Have a lovely Christmas Friday...Mardi x
I'll trade him for my 10 year old. pretty much the same behaviour but also comes with silly voices!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mardi - I'm PMSLOL and better run to the loo......NOW. He's a classic says me sitting on the other side of the country LOL Thanks for the laughs and Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeletebut think of it this way...you have more stuff to scrap about...lol
ReplyDeleteLOL Mardi, yep I reckon u should scrap it but send it in to get published then show all his friends, maybe he'll feel some embarrassment....well maybe he won't but @ least u'll have a page of his funny/annoying quirks.
ReplyDeleteZahlee tells me when getting Michall outta the back of the car..."back him up...back him up" & she's 5. So theres no hope for me then?
Glad ur xmas dinner with Alex worked out in the end.
Have a great weekend

Oh Mardi, lol, I was tired just reading it! But, sitting here in my quiet, sane lounge room, it sounds pretty funny too.
ReplyDeleteThe mess from the rockmelon sounded reminiscent of the mess here under the highchair after Jamie finished with the watermelon tonight. And here I was hoping that things might improve sometime in the next fourteen years, rofl.

I think I will pass on the offer of your annoying 15 yr old thanks Mardi. My 6 year old is enough at the moment.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family have a great christmas and a safe and happy new year.
Send Mitch up to his Aunty Donna is Queensland we would love to have him - but it did sound like Kate and Shaun annoying each other as i was reading your Blog....one day they will have all flown the coup and then we will wish they were still here annoying each other and making a mess.....love to all
ReplyDeleteLOL Mardi! That is funny. For me ... not for you obviously hehe.
ReplyDeleteLOL
Have a Merry Christmas!
I really do feel for you. I have a 14yr old girl who knows everything and is only nice when she wants something. She and her father know how easy i bite so they like to gang up on my 11yr old daughter and myself all the time. i hear revenge is sweet when we change the lock on the front door when they turn 18...wishfull thinking
ReplyDeleteMerry Chirstmas
