...what a day!!!

1 June 2007

.... actually ...what a week!

I have been spoilt rotten...Mum has cooked every meal this week..... including a roast... meat pies...quiche...tuna mornay...rissoles...casseroles...chicken and corn soup... biscuits and shortbread..... everyone who knows me... knows that...I am not fussed on cooking.... so for Mum to spoil us like this for the week..... lets just say.... I was in heaven!
Sadly Dad and Mum departed this morning... they are off on a holiday...and I just know they will have the best time..... so thanks Mum and Dad for taking care of us this week.
...then just when I was feeling very spoilt by Mum and Dad...and my wedding anniversary had been and gone.......
..... I arrived home this morning to this... OMG!...I have dreamt of having a coffee machine for so long.....I LOVE my coffee...... I cant go shopping without buying myself a decent coffee to bring home...... but what makes this even more special...and still makes my eyes well..... is that this is a gift from Brent and Alex...... the card attached says.... "Happy Anniversary lots of love Brent and Alex"....and included money to buy some decent coffee.... I feel spoilt...I feel blown away...I feel a little guilty seeing as they have had it on layby for weeks paying it off...and I was so cranky and irritable last week....
..... I must also add that apparently it was wrapped absolutley beautifully...lovely wrapping paper and a huge silver bow..... I was at work last night....so Ian had the honour of accepting and unwrapping.....I got the excitement of arriving home at 7am...and seeing it sitting on the bench next to the kettle..... thanks so much guys.
Well.... I am taking part in a garage sale tomorrow.... my friend Vicki is having a huge moving sale...so I have gathered up some of our never used.... totally useless..... was a good idea at the time purchases...and Im spending the day at her home tomorrow ...trying to convince someone else that they need my rubbish more than I did...lol.
Have a great Saturday...
Mardi xx

  7. 20 Years!! Fantastic Mardi and Happy Anniversary! Awesome prezzie from your kids - lucky you!! (Sorry I missed commenting earlier but our computer has been dead for the last couple of weeks - got a super dooper new one now!) It's a shame your Mum & Dad had to go - always nice to have them around and a little spoiling never goes astray! Have a great weekend!

  9. Welcome to the club Mardi! I got the same machine for my 30th birthday last year, and the novelty still hasn't worn off!! Soooo good to be able to have *good* coffee whenever you want (and to share the love, too!).
