This week...
... Alex was flown to Adelaide at 35wks in prem-labour (after 5 nights in hospital she has been allowed out....but isn't allowed home to the Riverland for another week at the earliest.)
...The girlies came to stay indefinitely..
I had some beautiful fabrics from Ballarat Patchwork arrive...
...we used up a little pile of homegrown Zucchini and made slice...
We rode our bike to the golf course in the evening for a couple of hits...
Bella tried out golf as well...
We wrote letters to the Easter Bunny and stuck them to the wall...
We cleaned up a lot of messes....
We went out for dinner and counted 17 kangaroos on the golf course....
We fed pear to the possums on the Renmark riverfront...
We had a delicious BBQ tea at Mitch and Megs..
We talked to Mummy on Skype...
We kissed and cuddled Mummy through the Ipad...
I scrapped some layouts and a project for etzcetera magazine...
Briony and Jarrad began their third house sitting assignment...
So it was Alex's pregnant belly I saw in a previous Xmas photo. How exciting, another grandy. Hope all goes well for them. Keep us posted. The girls are growing too quick. Happy new year to you all. xx Sue

Hey Mardi,
ReplyDeleteI've been in Alex's place at 31 weeks and took comfort knowing my baby would receive the best care if he came early. Having a tour of the unit and meeting the staff really helped...but my boy decided to stay in! Hopefully the little one wants to be baked for a few more weeks yet.
K
Thats lovely Kathryn... gosh 31 weeks would have meant you had a long stay too.
DeleteAlex said the staff are so lovely....and she felt calm and happy knowing everything would be ok.....the worst bit is just missing her girlies.
Luckily she can come home tomorrow....so its only been a week or so of separation.
Glad all went well for you too..
