DIY - the reason I love it...

31 July 2018

I am on a mission to completely overhaul our household and personal care products.... for three reasons...
  1.  I do not like chemicals.... its important to me to reduce our contact in every way possible.
  2. I hate waste and I hate packaging. It is ridiculous the amount of packaging...bottles and plastics that a trip down the cleaning aisle would accumulate.
  3.  I would rather live smarter and cheaper. Why pay a ridiculous cost for a cleaner when I can make my own for a fraction of the cost.

For instance.... these DIY toilet cleaning bombs use Purify Essential Oil value  valued at $27.00 (with a wholesale membership) @ 250 drops per bottle.
.... that means I can make these 16 times at a cost of $1.70 for the oil (plus the other items which I buy in bulk affordably) ... and they smell amazing.. are completely natural and there is almost zero packaging.

if you are interested in changing over to natural ...simple solutions... I would be more than happy to help....you can find me on Facebook  (Simpy Mardi - Wellness)  where I post regularly about Simple Changes.

DIY // Toilet cleaning bombs...

I finally got around to making these toilet cleaning bombs using the Purify oil... and they worked a treat. I bought a screw top jar and two icecube trays from the Opshop for the grand total of $2.00 and then it was just a matter of grabbing these simple ingredients.
Recipe -
✔️ 1 cup baking soda
✔️ 1/4 cup citric acid
✔️ 1 1/2 tablespoons of unscented castile soap
✔️ 15 drops of Purify Oil
Stir the baking soda and citric acid together until combined.
Slowly stir in the castile soap and Purify oil then combine until it resembles wet sand.
Pack the mixture into the icecube molds and let dry.
Once dry remove and store in an airtight jar.
Its then so easy to drop one in the toilet bowl ...and they smell so lovely...and yes...they clean really well too.
