Mirror makeover -step by step

26 June 2011

I had the perfect spot for this old mirror.... incredibly it was also from the dump.
(like my kitchen stool)
How the glass possibly survived its 'dumping' is nothing but a miracle...
but I was so happy it did.

 I

It was dirty.....but all in once piece.....
So I gave it a thorough clean with some soap and water and a soft banister brush.

Then taped around and covered the glass using masking tape and newspaper.

I then gave it two good coats of Wattyl Magica Marina paint.
Once it was dry I used a pot scourer and distressed it... quite a bit actually.

The next step was to remove the tape.....clean it all up.....and beg Ian to help me hang it.

I'm pretty chuffed with it actually....

and from another view....as we enter the house.
Geee I love a good makeover.
